I took pictures of every single guitar in that place! The Cash tribute motorcycle in the front window is killer too. The Ryman Auditorium is another must see as is Music Row. Have fun! Charvel Guy , May 21, SquierTap , grizzlewulf , Leo Jazzmaster and 1 other person like this.
I second Leo Jazzmaster 's suggestions of Broadway and Otaku - their tantanmen dish is fantastic. Guitar-wise, you're spoiled for choice as far as stores.
Just look up a couple of the more well known ones and you'll be set, IME. If Gruhn's or Carter Guitars goes on the list be aware that they're fairly well like any other famous, big city guitar shop - they'll peg you as either a potential buyer or a lookie loo before you're three steps inside the door.
The former category will get you decent service and latter will get you Age: 39 There's no place better for live music. Enjoy your trip! Cochise , May 21, Age: 46 6, Family took a trip there 2 summers ago. We loved it and considered moving there. I would suggest to take the double deck tour first so you can see the whole city in a few hours.
Consider it an expedition trip. Then, make a list of the places that you want to explore more. I was there about three weeks ago.
We went to Gruhn's, Carter's, and Artisan's. Carter's was by far the best. Gruhn's had a decent selection of vintage Martin's and Gibson acoustics. Couldn't get into Artisan's, no business sign, front door to shop building complex locked, and appointment required. Might be cheaper to buy a used MIM Nashville than to build. Bullitt , Aug 31, I was going to mention the "additive noise" but bluesking beat me to it.
With a mini toggle and a regular 3-way, you'd also have no way to use the middle pickup by itself if you ever wanted to. You could use a noiseless middle Strat pickup, then a couple push-pull pots. One to turn on the middle PU and one to turn off the other 2.
Being a stacked humbucker you wouldn't have the noise. You could even mount it under the pickguard because it'd probably be louder than the SCs and have a stealth Nashville. That would be cool because Nashville Teles look stupid.
I've wired 3 pup guitars this way several times with very satifactory results.. Bridge, Mid. Bridgr and Neck, 3rd.
Neck: then put the mid pup on a pushpull switch.. That'll give you all your Tele sounds and kick the mid in for Strat sound.. Papa Joe , Sep 1, My current project I'm undecided at this time just what the wiring and switching configuration is going to be, but I do have a few ideas that I'm kickin' aroud. It will be unlike anything I've ever seen before, for sure..
Nashville Tele Project I was planning to do a Nashville-style Tele as my next build, but plans changed. I appreciate all the replies and suggestions!
Ultimately - it came down to the money. I figured for that kinda money it's worth a shot since I just play for my own enjoyment and ain't out gigging etc. BillK01 , Oct 29, I'm looking forward to your report as I am about to order the same one too! Post some pics too if you can!
FabStrat , Oct 29, You have chosen wisely. I have a lot of guitars. Some of them very expensive. Enjoy it, it's a great guitar! TSims1 , Oct 29, Well FedEx dropped it off and ran home to snatch it so glad I'm in the 1 day delivery zone for Sweetwater. I'll have to play with it some this evening and take some pics to post either here or over on the Squier sub-forum. The neck has a really nice subtle flame to it I wish it was more pronounced but I got the lightest one Sweetwater had in the gallery - it's 8lb.
Think I'm done with guitars for a while! I had a Nashville Tele and mine had a "baseball bat" neck. Willys Jeepster. Ford Country Squire. Chevrolet Bel Air. Chevrolet Fleetline. Buick Century. Grand classic! C1 Chevrolet Corvette. Ford Fairlane. Mercury Monterey. Cadillac Coupe Deville. Chevrolet Buick Special. Magnificent classic! Nash Metropolitan.
